Starting Point

Here is what he looks like now, he's skinny, out of shape, and has not even been desensitized

  1. He is really a good looking horse. He reminds me of a horse I had when I was young. He was a purebred that was light chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail. He had a big blaze and two white stockings up to his knees on his legs. He also had a white spot on his side. He was about 16.2hh. His papers said purebred, but I think now that he was probably registered incorrectly (before the days of blood testing) and he seemed more like a part saddlebred to me!

I will be interested to keep up with your progress! Have you ever ridden Arabs before or been around them much? If so, you will know that their training and desensitization process doesn't always follow like books or the Internet say it should! :)
